پاکستان اس لئے بھی تشکیل دیا گیا تھا کہ جنوبی ایشیاء کے مسلمان یہ مطالبہ کرتے تھے کہ ان کو ایک آزاد قوم کی حیثیت سے ماننا ان کا حق ہے۔ قائداعظم محمد علی جناح نے انسانی حقوق پر بہت زیادہ اہمیت دی۔ انہوں نے کہا ، "آپ اپنے مندروں میں جانے کے لئے آزاد ہیں ،" آپ آزاد پاکستان کی اس ریاست میں اپنی مساجد میں جانے کے لئے آزاد ہیں۔ ان کی بہن فاطمہ جناح بھی انسانی حقوق کی حامی تھیں اور انہوں نے صدر ایوب خان کے خلاف جمہوریت کی جدوجہد میں لوگوں کی رہنمائی کی۔

انسانی حقوق کا عالمی اعلان

اقوام متحدہ (یو این) ایک بین الاقوامی تنظیم ہے جو 1946 ء میں دنیا کی اقوام کے مابین امن کو فروغ دینے کے لئے تشکیل دی گئی تھی۔ اس کے ممبروں کو احساس ہوا کہ اگر لوگوں کو ان کے اپنے ممالک میں بنیادی حقوق حاصل نہ ہوں تو یہ ممکن نہیں ہوگا۔ شیراز کے فارسی شاعر سعدی نے بہت پہلے کہا تھا اور یہ بیان نیویارک میں اقوام متحدہ کے صدر دفتر میں ہال آف نیشنس کے داخلی دروازے پر لکھا گیا ہے۔

1948 ء میں ، اقوام متحدہ کے رکن ممالک نے انسانی حقوق کے عالمی اعلامیے کے نام سے تقریبا تیس انسانی حقوق کی فہرست پر اتفاق کیا۔ یہ ایک اہم دستاویز تھی کیونکہ دنیا بھر سے بہت سے لوگوں نے اس پر اتفاق کیا کہ انسانی حقوق اہم تھے اور پاکستان نے دوسرے مسلم ممالک سے اس کی منظوری حاصل کرنے میں اہم کردار ادا کیا۔ اعلامیے میں درج حقوق میں سے یہ ہیں:

1. کسی شخص کی زندگی ، آزادی اور سلامتی کے حقوق۔

2. من مانی گرفتاری سے آزادی کے حقوق؛ ایک منصفانہ آزمائش کے لئے؛ ثابت ہونے تک بے قصور سمجھا جائے۔ کسی کے گھر اور خط و کتابت کی رازداری میں مداخلت سے۔

ایمنسٹی انٹرنیشنل

انسانی حقوق کے لئے خطرہ

Pakistan was also formed because the Muslims of South Asia demanded that they have the right to be recognized as a free nation. Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah attached great importance to human rights. "You are free to go to your temples," he said. "You are free to go to your mosques in this state of independent Pakistan." Universal Declaration of Human Rights

The United Nations (UN) is an international organization formed in 1946 to promote peace among the nations of the world. Its members realized that this would not be possible if people did not have basic rights in their own countries. Saadi, a Persian poet from Shiraz, said long ago that the statement was written at the entrance to the Hall of Nations at the UN headquarters in New York.

In 1948, the member states of the United Nations agreed on a list of about 30 human rights in the name of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. It was an important document because many people from all over the world agreed that human rights were important and Pakistan played a key role in gaining its approval from other Muslim countries. Among the rights enshrined in the Declaration are:

1. The rights of a person to life, liberty and security.

2. The right to freedom from arbitrary arrest; For a fair trial; Innocent until proven guilty. By interfering with the privacy of one's home and correspondence.

3. Rights of freedom of movement and residence; Asylum, nationality, and property ownership.

4. Freedom of thought, conscience, religion, opinion and rights of expression; To participate in associations, peaceful assemblies, and government. Social security, work.

5. The right to education and participation in one's social life.

Amnesty International

Amnesty International is another leading human rights organization in the world. It was founded in 1961 by Peter Benson, a British lawyer. Amnesty International is headquartered in London.

Amnesty International works for people who are imprisoned because of their religious or political beliefs.

The organization also works to promote the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Threat to human rights
